Writing

Okay this is another rant thing that we were talking about on the way home a few days ago. You see, though both Nikki and I write we have two different writing styles. Me, I write systematically; I start at the beginning and work my way through until the end. But Nikki on the other hand writes in scenes. In the last few months Nikki has been having writer's block, not being able to write any scenes other then some fanfiction ones.

It's so annoying; I have ideas, I just can't figure out how to transfer them from my head onto the page.

I have been writing non-stop. And I think we have figured out why Nikki has been having writer's block. One, she doesn't like writing the boring beginning stuff.

I try, I really do. I can never figure out how to put ideas into words.

And two, she's writing in scenes which means she doesn't have a huge amount of already finished stuff she can read through in order like a book ,so that when the end comes she already has all the ideas in her head. This is what I do; I start at the beginning of my book then read until I get to the end, start writing, and next thing I know I've written four pages. So yeah, that's all I think. Randomly ranting no one hurt me or get offended. Please.

Really Sky?

Severus Snape vs James Potter

I would like to say that the second I saw the title of this post I thought oh no this isn't going to end well. And I haven't even read any of it yet.

Ok, so this post is kinda random and would probably be better on Completely Me (Maybe just maybe), but I know that lots of people will disagree with me, so I'm posting it here.

If you know anything about me, you'll probably know that I love Harry Potter. More specifically, I love Severus Snape and Lily Evans (Snape and Lily!). From the beginning I've been a huge Lily fan. At first I didn't really like Snape, but after reading Deathly Hallows(same) I realized how amazing he really is. Now matter how much he hated Harry and James Potter, he protected Harry. Every time he went to Lord Voldemort as Dumbledore's spy, Severus risked his life. And why was he spying on Voldemort? To help Harry defeat Voldemort. (So it was more to get Dumbledore information, but Dumbledore used that information to ensure Harry's success)

I know what you James fans are saying. "Snape's a deatheater. He called Lily a mudblood. etc." I know that Severus isn't perfect, but neither is James. How many times did lily call James an 'arrogant toe-rag'?(why are you asking me? I don't know. Nikki, I'm not the type of person that counts how many times someone says something.) (Seriously, how many times? I forget) James spent all his time either hitting on Lily, getting into trouble, or bullying 'Snivillus'. What did Severus ever do to him?(I don't know, but bullies never have a good reason) Nothing. In my mind, James doesn't really have any redeeming qualities besides his good looks.

So who do you think is better?

I'm Back!

Okay so this post is about what happens when I go away to camp for 10 days! I just came back from a 10 day camp; as in I got home last night. But that's not the point, the point is Nikki e-mailed me a few times when she knew I was gone and some of it was as random as NCIS and other things were like replying to a letter I sent her by hand and she wrote an e-mail letter in return. So here we go.
My letter to Nikki (in a nutshell).

Dear Nikki,
Having fun, oldest in the group (weird), miss you, having ideas for stories, rescue plan, weather won't make up it's mind, and sorry about spelling no way of checking it. And everyone is as crazy as you or more.

Dear Skyres
Got your letter! Having fun with the crazy people? I know what you mean about the weather it happens to me all the time. How many bug bite she has even though she's not at camp and I am. The battle of the thousands of tiny ants. May have encountered more wildlife then me. Miss you and need to hang out when I get back.
P.S. Nice rescue plan. The only problem is, she had no idea how to get there! (God Nikki use the sister bond to find me or just take highway 60.)

My e-mail letter to her when I got back (in a nutshell)

Dear Nikki
Yes I had fun with the crazy people. I have to tell you all my stories and adventures. Why can't the weather make up it's mind? Have 5 bug bites in the whole 10 day camp. I saw more wildlife then her and saw a bat and a flying squirrel! Quoting Sound of Music. Going to bed before midnight every night (not last night! Yes I still got it)

So what the one e-mail here's another.

Nikki's e-mail (Stolen is a book Nikki and I are writing)

Day 1: Skyres leaves for camp
Day 3: Nikki wants to discuss Stolen, but Skyres is gone
Day 4: Nikki writes a brilliant scene
Day 5: Nikki is officially going through Skyres-Withdrawl
Day 6: Nikki's internet breaks and prevents her from researching for her books
Day 7 (1am): Nikki writes a pointless email which will not be recieved until the end of the week possibly longer

My e-mail (I have another friend in here and to protect her identity she will be know as Kesha. Ashley for my books is also in this.)
Day 1: I leave for camp
Day 2: Dress up as aliens wish Nikki was here to do the dark mark and to help me with the Atlantean.
Day 3: Had the whole camp to ourselves!
Day 4: Campers arrive! We spend all day at waterfront.
Day 5: I go through Nikki-Withdrawl
Day 6: Tomorrow's the first day of tripping! Freaking out time!
Day 7: Going through worst Nikki- Withdrawl starting to show signs of Kesha-Withdrawl
Day 8: Discover Ashley's 'home'! So happy with how it looks
Day 9: I want to stay up until 3 am. No one lets me.
Day 10: I read this e-mail and tell you. You were writing in third person!

I really don't know what else to add. I'm super glad Skyres is back, because without her I had no one to talk to about our books. Also, Skyres is possibly the coolest person ever, and I missed not being able to talk to her.

Disney Princesses

Wow I am getting soooo much done today. So the whole reason Nikki and I made this is so that we could rant about Disney princesses -yes this is sad, yes we know- but you see they are ruining our childhood and the childhoods of future kids.

Let me start from the beginning (may I return to the beginning the light is dimming and the dream is too. The world and I okay will stop now sorry the song popped into my head.Really Sky?) There were 8 Disney princess; (in no real order) Snow White, Pocahontas, Aurora, Ariel, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, and Mulan. Now there's a type of evil that was put to work. They made a new princess movie and decided to make her a classic Disney princess. They call her Tiana. You can't make something a classic, they become classic over time you idiots!

I totally agree with Skyres. I'm not saying the new Disney is bad or anything, because it's actually pretty good. I just think that the old Disney was so much better. The music, the storyline, the characters. I still sing Disney songs in the shower, I admit it. But then they come out with this new movie and add Tiana to the classic princesses. I understand that they did it to be more multicultural, but what about Pocahontas, Jasmine, and Mulan? And don't get me started on Ariel (She's a mermaid! How do you get more multicultural than that?! Seriously!!!).

(Really Nikki, did you just go there? I mean seriously, are you that desperate? Oh well it's entertaining to say the least.)

Labels

I'm so sick of labels and stereotypes. Just because someone likes school doesn't mean they're a nerd. Just because someone wears black doesn't mean they're goth. Just because someone acts different doesn't mean they're a freak. All of these labels have been applied to me at one point or another, but I'm so much more than that. (Warning pissed off Nikki. See, national piss off Skyres month is over so now we enter the world of normal life. PS. it will only get worst from here and no I haven't read anything other then the first paragraph.)

If you look past the labels you'll see the real me. I love learning interesting things. I love reading books, Shakespeare, poetry, etc. I wear black, but I wear other colours too. I enjoy life as much as possible, and I'm not afraid to act crazy. I love to express myself through art, or music, or writing, or anything creative. Sometimes I'm unsure of myself and I question my decisions. Sometimes I mess up, and sometimes I do things right. You can label me all you want, but you can't change who I am. (Oh is this a speech for individuality now? Wow I should really stop you from writing such deep posts, everyone will be getting the wrong idea about this blog. Oh well I am with you. I am sick of people judging me for how I look or how I act. You just keep going girl.)

I'm not saying I'm not guilty of labeling people. It's human nature to judge others. If you look closely though, you'll realize that the guy that acts like he doesn't care actually cares more than anyone else. You'll see that the perfect popular girl envies the one who can just be herself and have fun. You'll understand why that girl wears black clothes and makeup. You'll see people the way they really are. (That's why I go by my rule, judge all you want at first then forget about everything you just judged about that person and then get to know them with an open mind. I am sure that's how I met you... Oh well.)

National Piss Off Skyres Month

Nikki and I are writers as shown by our other blogs. One day I wrote something on a character that was very much like me, so we decided that May was national piss off Skyres month.

I told Skyres that we need to have a parade or something, but she didn't agree.

And this was about a year ago (or as my Ipod tells me it was 366 days ago). Now I have proven that this is the month everyone wants to piss me off, starting with my mom putting me in a swimming class where the exam for it will be the weekend before school exams! Then my careers teacher made us interview someone and write a huge case study on it. Then today my math teacher gave us a test (which was easy) but the last question was impossible to do. You kept getting decimals when they weren't needed or supposed to be there. Ahhhhhhh! I hate math some time.

Poor Sky! Decimals are pure evil. Their whole purpose is to make things way more complicated than they need to be!
Since math happened today and took me twice as long to finish because of that question I got to music class late (Nikki and I share this class). There she was freaking out because she saw me this morning and then I wasn't not there. When I finally got there she said:
I was like where is she? Is she dead? or Did she get sick?

I was also worried that she had been kidnapped or was bleeding out in an alley somewhere. I was about to have a nervous breakdown.

Then to cheer me up she wanted to make me a flag, and I was like "Nikki make a flag when I am happy". She said they we don't have a national happy Skyres month so she had to do it for national piss off Skyres month.

My current design involves Skyres being hit by lightning while a tornado swirls in the background and evil decimals try to set her on fire.

Welcome

Welcome one and all, young and old, to our soon to be world famous blog. As you can see, this blog hasn't been named yet, but we'll get to that eventually. As in when we decide on one.

First I want to explain what this blog is about. My friend Skyres and I enjoy randomly ranting about anything and everything. We have some very strong opinions, and we often voice them in hilarious ways. We thought it would be fun to make a blog so we could share our rants with the world.

Here's how it works: I'll write a post about something, and then Skyres will go through and write her thoughts in italics. For example:

I love monkeys.

I thought you love purple flying monkeys!

Google has the solution to everything.

Wait I have to write this down!
